Summary Box:
The 3DOptix BreadBox™ optomechanics family provides an accurate way to mount and align optical elements onto a 3D Breadbox™ platform.
Description:
Using a lego approach, floors, walls, ceilings and extenders come together to create sturdy, easy-to-assemble, 3D structures with precisely spaced mounting locations and endless extension possibilities. These structures can be mounted onto the optical table or disconnected and moved around. Imagine a whole experimental setup moved about the lab without damaging the alignment. The 3DOptix BreadBox™ platform is designed to accommodate standard optical element sizes (i.e. 0.5’’/1’’/1.5’’/2’ or 12.5mm/25mm/37.5mm/50mm) and is compatible with any other commercial optical or optomechanical component. Premium frames provide maximal precision, having screw and dowel pin holes at each mounting location. Each frame has a side onto which optical elements can be mounted. This side is marked with the 3DOptix logo and labeled according to which kind of frame it is. The basic building blocks of the 3DOptix BreadBox™ platform are its floor/ceiling frames (marked with F), wall frames (W) and wall extenders (E).
Specifications:
Floor/Ceiling
The Floor/Ceiling (F) frame is part of the 3DOptix BreadBox™ optomechanics family. It provides an accurate way to mount and align optical elements in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The Floor/Ceiling frames (F) attach to Wall frames (W) to create 3D Breadbox™ platforms of any size. The Floor/Ceiling frames (F) play a double role. With the connections side facing up, we have a floor; turned upside down we have a ceiling. To connect as a ceiling we use the wall and wall extender frames. Optical elements can be connected to ceilings (just as they are connected to floors) while maintaining alignment and synchronization with all the other mounts. We also have the ability to create multi-leveled structures with multiple synchronized floors. To do this we use the Adaptor Wall Extender (E). This ensures that elements connected to the different floors and walls are all synchronized.
Wall
The Wall frame (W) is part of the 3DOptix™ BreadBox™ optomechanics family. It provides an accurate way to mount and align optical elements in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The Wall frames (W) attach to Floor/Ceiling frames (F) to assemble 3D Breadbox platforms of any size. Wall frames (W) can be extended using the Wall Extender frame (E) or the Adaptor Wall Extender (E) for multi-level structure.
Wall Extender
The Wall Extender (E) is part of the 3DOptix BreadBox™ optomechanics family. It provides an accurate way to mount and align optical elements in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The Wall Extender (E) can be attached to Floor/Ceiling (F) frames, Wall frames (W) or to other Wall Extenders (E), to assemble 3D Breadbox platforms of any size.
Adapter wall extender
The Adaptor Wall Extender (E) is part of the 3DOptix BreadBox™ optomechanics family. It provides an accurate way to mount and align optical elements in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The Adaptor Wall Extender (E) can be attached to Floor/Ceiling frames (F), Wall frames (W) or other Adaptor Wall Extenders (E), to assemble 3D Breadbox platforms of any size. Multi-leveled structures are built using Adaptor Wall Extenders (E) which create synchronization between the different levels of a structure.
